Director's Statement
Ché made theatrical history twice at Shakespeare’s globe as a playwright. Other theatre work includes Royal Court, Young Vic and Finborough.
As screenwriter Ché’s ‘Been So Long’ (2018, starring Michaela Coel and Arinzé Kene) broke all records for a Netflix UK purchase.
Ché has directed four short films, with over twenty festival selections and two awards. Connie is his first feature film.
Connie is a commitment to the invisible London. A commitment to the raw unvarnished truth. A love letter to a lifelong friend.
