Our new November 2020 programme lands online!
Once again, we’re reminded about the importance of film festivals – not just because of the enormous impact of the pandemic on our beloved industry, but because of the wealth of talent seeking premier platforms to showcase their work.
Major movie chains have announced that they’re closing temporarily because of the impact of lockdown and as we contemplate a ‘second wave’ of the Covid-19 virus. We’re optimistic for the industry. It will have to adapt and as a result we could see a model that is more diverse, varied and equitable.
In the submissions we saw productions such as documentaries, webseries and features. We got to see animation as well as comedies, dramas, thrillers and romance. We viewed stories about mental health challenges, the lesbian community, spirituality, childhood, lockdown and activism – just to name a few.
As we tinker with a few admin tasks, stay close to our platform to get the latest information about our programme.
So, whether you’re an industry professional, or a regular film-lover you’ll be able to view engaging, heart-felt stories with Women Of The Lens Film Festival.
We can’t wait to show you what we’ve got!
