After her work in theatre, she transitioned into sector support, contributing to the wider arts and culture industries through her roles at Clore Leadership and Creative Access, where she focused on leadership learning and professional development for historically marginalised communities.

Currently serving as Inclusion Manager at the British Film Institute (BFI), Bhavini delivers the implementation and development of the BFI’s inclusion strategy. Her work addresses long-standing inequities within the film industry, advocating for systemic change and ensuring that historically underrepresented communities have a voice in the creative process.

Driven by a mission to bring joy, celebration, and opportunity to individuals from all walks of life, Bhavini remains committed to fostering more inclusive and equitable spaces within the arts and cultural sectors. Throughout her career, she has consistently worked towards creating meaningful, sustainable change and advancing representation in the industry.

Latoya has also appeared on cinema panels in person and online and has featured as a guest on podcast episodes as well as making radio appearances on BBC Radio Merseyside and Radio Harrow.

Latoya is also an advocate member of the Reclaim the Frame Initiative which provides a platform for women in film; she has been a jury member for the SR Socially Relevant Film Festival and the Femme Filmmakers Film Festival.

Latoya is also a voting member of several film critics guilds and associations including: FIPRESCI, WFCC, BFCC, OAFFC, Film Critics UK, OFTA

She co-created the Caribbean Film Festival and served as its Executive Director, architecting the festival’s vision, programming, and partnerships from day one. Under her leadership, the festival became a serious platform for Caribbean cinema and a launching pad for emerging filmmakers across the region and diaspora.

Her curatorial work spans film, music, and cultural programming — always in service of something larger: community, identity, and the kind of cross-cultural conversation that changes how people see the Caribbean and its creative output. 

Behind the decks, Melanie is also an active DJ whose sets draw from the full breadth of Caribbean musical tradition. That same ear for cultural depth shapes everything she does.

Her international footprint extends to the Screening Committee of the Atlanta Film Festival and the jury of the Women of the Lens Film Festival in the UK, which champions Black women in film and media. She brings the same discernment to every table she sits at.

Annie Little

Annie is a UK-based hair and makeup designer and hair artist working in Film and Television. She has been on-set hairstylist to Letitia Wright, Josh O’Connor and Gugu Mbatha-Raw among others.

Drawn to good stories and bold storytellers Annie counts among her TV & Film credits Apple TV’s Surface, Marian Quinn’s feature film TWIG. On the Netflix series Queen Charlotte, Annie was the hair and makeup coordinator managing the wig styling team and overseeing the movement of almost 1000 wigs and she was also on the award-winning short film Original Skin. Annie was on the jury panel for this year’s (2025) BAFTA TV Craft Awards. 

She is part of the 2025 Women in Film & TV mentoring (WFTV) cohort, was a ScreenSkills Leader of Tomorrow (2021) is a film industry mentor and is the founder of BLCKSTR; workshops that support on-set crews working with textured hair and makeup.

In 2023/24, she was selected for the Netflix music supervision training/ mentorship programme for mid-career professionals. Prior to making the switch, Kadambari’s career spanned both live and recorded music; curating shows and series as part of the ‘Beyond The Main Stage’ programming team at London’s Royal Albert Hall from 2018-2020 and the compilations/ international catalogue department at Sony Music’s Mumbai office from 2014-2016.

Kadambari has a Masters in Ethnomusicology and the Anthropology of Media from SOAS, University of London (2009-2010). She sits on the advisory board for UK & EU Guild of Music Supervisors and is on the 2026 voter jury for BIFA (British Independent Film Awards) in the music supervision ‘craft’ category.

Through her storytelling, Temi challenges conventions, sparking reflection and empathy in those who experience her work. Her BAFTA-qualifying short film Step Back stands as a highlight of her career, showcasing her ability to blend powerful narratives with authentic characters. These projects are a testament to her commitment to creating meaningful stories that both entertain and provoke thought.

Shortlisted for the Merky Books New Writers Prize 2024/25, Temi is making waves in the literary and film worlds. Known for her collaborative spirit, she has worked with prestigious organisations such as BFI, Wondery, and Your Cinema Films, always believing that creativity flourishes in community.
